Metricool pricing hero showing monthly prices by brand count and the yearly cost of the X add-on

We all want one tool that runs every client’s social feed for a few dollars.

Metricool pricing gets close. Free costs $0 for one brand, and Starter runs $20 a month for 5 brands or $36 for 10, billed yearly. Advanced runs $53 to $159 a month for 15 to 50 brands. Monthly billing costs about 20% more.

But you don’t pay per user. You pay per brand, and add-ons sit on top.

So the price you see is rarely the price you pay. We read Metricool’s pricing page, its help center rules, and six of the top pricing guides.

Here’s what each plan includes and what a real yearly bill looks like.

Key Points

  • Metricool pricing is set by brand count, not seats: Free is $0 for 1 brand, Starter is $20 or $36 a month (5 or 10 brands), and Advanced is $53, $85 or $159 a month (15, 25 or 50 brands) on annual billing.
  • Monthly billing costs 20% to 24% more than annual billing, so a 50-brand agency pays $612 more a year by going monthly.
  • The X add-on adds $10 a month per connected account, so a 12-brand agency with 4 X accounts pays $1,116 a year on Advanced instead of $636.
  • Pick Advanced as soon as you need team logins, client approvals or the API, because Starter has no team member seats.

How Much Does Metricool Pricing Cost per Month?

Metricool pricing starts at $0 and tops out at $159 a month on annual billing, before add-ons and VAT. Each paid plan has brand tiers, so the price climbs with the number of brands you manage.

How Does Metricool Count a Brand?

A brand in Metricool is one business, client or location. Each brand holds one profile per social network or ad platform. So one client with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn still counts as one brand.

That rule makes Metricool cheap for wide work and pricey for deep work. A client with five networks costs the same as a client with one. But a client with two Instagram accounts needs two brands.

Local businesses hit this first. Metricool’s FAQ says each brand maps to a single Google Business Profile location. A bakery with four shops needs four brands.

Here’s what that looks like in practice:

  • One client, many networks: one brand, no extra cost.
  • One client, two accounts on the same network: two brands.
  • One chain, several locations: one brand per location.
  • Your own agency profile: one more brand, so count it too.

Count your brands before you look at plans. It’s the one number that sets your tier.

And leave room for growth. Metricool’s plans step up at 5, 10, 15, 25 and 50 brands. If you manage 9 brands today and sign two clients next quarter, you’ll cross a tier. That jump is cheap at the low end and steep near the top, as the tier math later in this guide shows.

What Does the Metricool Free Plan Include?

The Metricool Free plan costs $0 and covers 1 brand forever, with no card needed. It’s a real plan, not a trial.

You can connect every network except LinkedIn and X, and schedule up to 20 posts a month. The plan also tracks 5 competitor profiles and keeps 30 days of analytics. It adds the AI assistant with 5 credits a month. And it includes Metricool’s MCP (Model Context Protocol) connection for AI tools.

Say you run one small shop’s Instagram and TikTok. Twenty posts a month covers about one post every weekday. That’s enough to learn the planner before you pay.

But 30 days of analytics is short. You can’t compare this quarter with the last one. And there are no PDF or PPT reports, so client reporting is out.

Pricing: $0 a month for 1 brand.

Best For

  • Solo creators and small shops that post to one brand and skip LinkedIn and X.
  • Anyone testing the Metricool planner before picking a paid tier.

Pros

  • Free forever for one brand, with no card.
  • Covers Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest and more.
  • Includes the AI assistant and the MCP connection.

Cons

  • No LinkedIn or X connection at all.
  • Caps scheduling at 20 posts a month.
  • Keeps only 30 days of analytics.
  • No downloadable reports for clients.

What Does the Metricool Starter Plan Include?

The Metricool Starter plan costs $20 a month for up to 5 brands or $36 for up to 10, billed yearly. Monthly billing costs $25 or $45.

Starter removes most Free limits. Publishing becomes unlimited under a fair use rule. Metricool’s help center sets the base line at 600 posts per brand per month. You get LinkedIn, 100 competitor profiles, unlimited analytics history, PDF and PPT reports, and 20 AI credits per brand each month.

It also adds link-in-bio pages, Flows for comment and DM replies, and Google Drive and Canva links. You can buy the X add-on and the Advanced Analytics add-on here.

Picture a freelancer with six retainer clients. Starter at 10 brands costs $432 a year. That works out to $6 per client each month, or $3.60 per brand if all ten slots fill.

Here’s the catch. Starter has no team member seats and no post approvals. If a client or a teammate needs a login, you’ll outgrow it.

Pricing: $20 a month for 5 brands or $36 for 10 on annual billing; $25 or $45 billed monthly.

Best For

  • Freelancers and solo social managers with up to 10 client brands.

Pros

  • Low cost per brand, from $3.60 a month at 10 brands.
  • Unlimited publishing up to 600 posts per brand a month.
  • PDF and PPT reports for clients.

Cons

  • No team members, roles or post approval system.
  • No API, so no Zapier or Make links.
  • X and Advanced Analytics cost extra.

What Does the Metricool Advanced Plan Include?

The Metricool Advanced plan costs $53, $85 or $159 a month for 15, 25 or 50 brands on annual billing. Billed monthly, those tiers cost $67, $107 and $210.

Advanced is the agency plan. It adds team and client management, roles, and a post approval system. Team members are unlimited, which is rare at this price.

You also get full X analytics, report templates you can brand, a Looker Studio (Data Studio) connector, and the Metricool API for Zapier and Make. AI credits rise to 35 per brand each month. And Advanced Analytics comes included for the first 15 days.

Say you run a 12-client agency with three staff. Each client approves posts before they go live. Advanced at 15 brands costs $636 a year, and nobody shares a password.

The jump from Starter is modest at the low end. Moving from 10 brands on Starter to 15 on Advanced adds $17 a month. The top tier is where it bites.

Pricing: $53, $85 or $159 a month on annual billing; $67, $107 or $210 billed monthly.

Best For

  • Agencies and in-house teams that need client approvals and shared logins.
  • Teams that connect Metricool to other tools through the API.

Pros

  • Unlimited team members at every Advanced tier.
  • Post approvals and role controls for clients.
  • API access, Looker Studio connector and branded reports.

Cons

  • The 50-brand tier costs $159 a month, nearly double the 25-brand tier.
  • The X add-on still costs extra per account.
  • Advanced Analytics still costs extra after the first 15 days.

What Does the Metricool Custom Plan Include?

The Metricool Custom plan covers more than 50 brands, and the price is a custom quote. Metricool doesn’t publish a starting figure, so you’ll need to talk to sales.

Custom includes everything in Advanced. It adds a custom brand count, white label branding, a dedicated account manager, custom AI credits, and help to build Metricool into your own product.

White label matters most here. It lets an agency show reports and the dashboard under its own brand. No public Metricool plan below Custom lists it.

Say you’re a network of franchise locations, each with its own Google Business Profile. Fifty brands fill up fast at one per location. Custom is the only way past that cap.

Before you ask for a quote, bring three numbers. Bring your brand count today, your count in a year, and the number of X accounts you connect. Those set most of the bill.

Pricing: Custom quote, not published.

Best For

  • Large agencies, franchises and platforms with more than 50 brands.

Pros

  • No brand cap.
  • Branded reports under your agency’s name, plus a dedicated account manager.
  • Custom AI credit limits.

Cons

  • No public price to plan a budget around.
  • Requires a sales call before you can buy.
  • Add-on terms aren’t listed on the pricing page.

Which Metricool Add-Ons Raise the Bill?

Two Metricool add-ons change most bills: the X add-on and Advanced Analytics. Both sit on top of the plan price, and neither shows up in the headline figure. There’s also a Hashtag Tracker at $25 a day for X or Instagram, which most teams will skip unless they run a campaign.

The X Add-On Costs $10 per Account

The X add-on costs $10 a month or $120 a year for each connected X account. It works on Starter and above, never on Free. Metricool sells it apart because X charges for each API connection.

One add-on covers one X account in one brand. Five client brands on X means five add-ons, or $600 a year.

Older customers keep a $5 rate if they bought before the latest change. But if you drop to zero add-ons, that rate is gone for good.

Top Tip: Keep at least one X add-on active if you’re on the old $5 rate. Removing the last one resets every future X account to $10 a month.

Advanced Analytics Starts at $12

The Advanced Analytics add-on starts at $12 a month on Starter and $36 a month on Advanced and Custom. Metricool says the price rises with brand count but doesn’t publish the full scale.

It adds unlimited campaign dashboards and Metricool Studio. It also adds advanced analytics with 30 days of history. Without it, paid plans include 3 campaign dashboards.

Advanced users get it free for the first 15 days. Use that window to check whether your client reports truly need it.

How Much Does Annual Billing Save on Metricool?

Annual billing saves 20% to 24% on every paid Metricool tier. The saving grows with the plan, from $60 a year on Starter at 5 brands to $612 a year on Advanced at 50 brands.

Bar chart comparing Metricool yearly cost on annual and monthly billing for each brand tier
Brand tierYearly on annual billingYearly on monthly billingYou save
Starter, 5 brands$240$300$60 (20%)
Starter, 10 brands$432$540$108 (20%)
Advanced, 15 brands$636$804$168 (21%)
Advanced, 25 brands$1,020$1,284$264 (21%)
Advanced, 50 brands$1,908$2,520$612 (24%)

We multiplied each monthly price on Metricool’s pricing page by 12. So the “save up to 24%” label holds only at the 50-brand tier. Every other tier saves about 20%.

But annual billing locks you in. Metricool’s refund policy gives you 15 calendar days after your first purchase to withdraw. After that, an annual plan gets no partial refund.

When Does Adding One Brand Raise Metricool Pricing?

Adding one brand raises Metricool pricing when it pushes you past a tier line: brand 6, 11, 16 or 26. The cost of crossing each line grows as you go up.

Step chart of Metricool monthly cost on annual billing as brand count grows from 1 to 50

Here’s the math on annual billing:

  • Brand 6: Starter jumps from $20 to $36, or $192 more a year.
  • Brand 11: you leave Starter for Advanced at $53, or $204 more a year.
  • Brand 16: Advanced jumps from $53 to $85, or $384 more a year.
  • Brand 26: Advanced jumps from $85 to $159, or $888 more a year.

Example: An agency at 25 brands pays $85 a month, so $1,020 a year. Brand 26 moves it to $159 a month, so $1,908 a year. That one client adds $888 a year, or $74 a month, before any X add-on.

Monthly billing makes it steeper. On monthly billing, brand 26 moves you from $107 to $210, a $103 jump.

Not every jump hurts. Brand 11 also buys team seats, approvals and the API. If you needed those anyway, the move to Advanced pays for itself.

So price the next client, not only the list you have today. If a new client lands you on a tier line, charge for that tier in your retainer.

What Does a Real Metricool Bill Look Like for an Agency?

A 12-brand agency with 4 X accounts pays $1,116 a year on Metricool Advanced with annual billing. Without X, the same agency pays $636.

Here’s how we built it from the pricing page:

  • Plan: 12 brands fit the Advanced 15-brand tier at $53 a month, or $636 a year.
  • X add-on: 4 accounts at $120 a year each add $480.
  • Total: $636 plus $480 comes to $1,116 a year.

Example: On monthly billing, the plan costs $67 a month, or $804 a year. Add $480 for X and the total reaches $1,284. That’s $168 more for the freedom to cancel any month.

Split across 12 clients, the annual bill comes to about $7.75 per client a month. Without X, it’s about $4.42 per client.

Advanced Analytics would add at least $36 a month on top. Most small agencies can skip it, because Advanced already includes 3 campaign dashboards and branded reports.

Now run your own numbers. Take your brand count, pick the tier above it, and add $120 a year per X account. Then add VAT if you pay it.

Top Tip: List which clients truly need X before you upgrade. Connecting X for every client by default can cost more than the plan itself.

What Do Metricool’s Refund and Fair Use Rules Say?

Metricool gives you 15 calendar days after your first paid purchase to withdraw and get a refund. Automatic renewals aren’t refundable, and that includes add-on renewals.

The rest of the billing rules come from Metricool’s help center:

  • Upgrades: you pay only the prorated difference for the rest of the cycle, and the unused part of the old plan comes off the new price.
  • Downgrades: the change takes effect at the end of the billing cycle, with no refund.
  • Cancellations: you keep access until the cycle ends, then the account moves to Free.
  • Annual plans: no partial refund after the first 15 days.

The posting cap matters too. Paid plans list unlimited publishing, but the base line sits at 600 posts per brand per month. Past that, Metricool reviews the account by hand.

If the review finds normal use, it raises your limit. If it finds abuse, it can pause posting for the month. Few agencies post 20 times a day for one brand, so this rarely bites.

Set a calendar reminder a week before your renewal date. That’s your last chance to change tiers or drop add-ons before the next charge. On an annual plan, that one reminder can save you a full year on the wrong tier.

Which Metricool Plan Should You Pick?

Pick the Metricool plan by brand count first and team needs second. The table pairs each signal with a decision.

The “Plan to pick” labels are our own fit calls, built from the plan limits on Metricool’s pricing page.

If you’re an agency, the scheduler is only half the job. Briefs, approvals and deadlines still live somewhere. Our guide to project management software for marketing agencies covers that side.

And if client work spills into contracts and billing, see our list of client management software for agencies.

Planning to wire Metricool into other apps through its API? Check Zapier pricing first, because task volume can cost more than the Metricool plan.

What Should You Do Next With Metricool?

Metricool pricing is cheap per brand and easy to misjudge. The plan price is only the start, because brand tiers and the X add-on set most of the real bill. Once you count both, the budget stops being a guess and starts being a line in your retainer.

This week, list every brand you manage, plus the clients you expect to sign. Mark which ones need X, then price the tier above your count on Metricool’s pricing page. If two new clients would cross a tier line, build that cost into their retainer now.

FAQs

Does Metricool Offer a Free Trial of Paid Plans?

No, Metricool doesn’t list a timed free trial of its paid plans. The Free plan works as the test, since it never expires. Paid plans come with a 15-day withdrawal window after the first purchase. Advanced also includes the Advanced Analytics add-on for its first 15 days, which works like a short trial of that feature within Metricool pricing.

Do Metricool Prices Include VAT?

No, Metricool prices exclude VAT. The pricing page says the right VAT is worked out before you sign. So if your business pays VAT, add the local rate to every plan and add-on figure. Either way, check the checkout total before you confirm, because the listed Metricool pricing is the amount before tax.

Is the Metricool MCP Free?

Yes, the Metricool MCP connection appears on the Free plan, so you can link AI assistants to your account without paying. It follows your plan’s limits, though, so Free still caps you at 20 posts a month. On Advanced and Custom, the pricing page notes that limits may apply. The full Metricool API needs Advanced or Custom.

How Can You Pay for Metricool?

You can pay for Metricool by credit or debit card or by PayPal. Metricool creates an invoice as soon as each payment goes through. You can download every invoice from your account settings, or set them to arrive by email each cycle. That keeps Metricool pricing easy to track for agencies that bill clients back.

Does Metricool Have a Nonprofit Discount?

Metricool’s pricing page lists no nonprofit discount, and we found no published rate or eligibility rule. Some third-party guides say one exists, but none show an amount we could check. If you run a nonprofit, ask Metricool’s support team before you buy. Get any discount in writing before the annual plan starts.
